The facility is open to commercial vehicles only on Monday through Friday from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m.  The facility accepts single stream recycling, cardboard, mixed paper, plastics, steel cans, aluminum cans and other materials for recycling.

Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia SP Recycling Corporation (SPRC), a wholly owned subsidiary of SP Newsprint Co., was organized in 1977 to collect, process and ship high quality raw materials to SP Newsprint Mills in Dublin, Georgia and Newberg, Oregon as well as to other consuming mills.

By being a subsidiary of one of the world’s largest and most efficient  consumers of recovered newspapers, SPRC consistently provides a dependable market for its suppliers.  SPRC currently processes curbside recyclables for over 1.5 million homes in the United States.

In 2007, the Tacoma Facility opened its door as one of the largest and most efficient processing facilites on the West Coast.  The facility uses state of the art equipment and the most advanced optical sorting technogolgy on the market to produce high quality commodities.
